BELLEAIR BEACH -- Myrna Reynolds, 47, who had been the financial officer for the city of Belleair Beach since September, 2000, died unexpectedly Monday morning of a heart attack.

Mrs. Reynolds had been undergoing chemotherapy treatment and was nearing the end of that treatment.

She died at home after collapsing.

A wake is scheduled at Clearwater Funeral Home at 2966 Belcher Road in Dunedin Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Light of Christ Catholic Church, 2176 Marilyn Ave., Clearwater.

Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her husband, Michael, a daughter, Alison, and two sons, Benjamin and Patrick.

Nancy McCollum, Belleair Beach's city clerk, was very close to Mrs. Reynolds. "She was more than a co-worker," she said. "She was my friend."
