Indian Rocks Beach - A call to artists working in Transparent Watercolors are invited to submit works for the Beach Art Center 28th Annual Watercolor Show. All entries must be original and painted within the past two years, without the supervision of an instructor, and not previously exhibited within a BAC exhibition.
Entry dates are February 1 and 2, from 9 a.m. until noon. An artist reception will be held February 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. Show dates are February 6 - March 11.
This show is one of the few remaining dedicated to the use of "pure" transparent watercolor. Each entrant is allowed to submit up to three paintings. Fees are: BAC member $25 - non-members $35. Fees are non-refundable. Cash and products worth $1,000 will be awarded.
Juror will be Florida Transparent Watercolorist, Anne Abgott. She is a well published, award winning painter whose work has appeared in various Artist magazines. She is a signature member of several watercolor societies, winning numerous awards. Anne is past president of Florida Watercolor Society.
