Ever Wanted To Be Part Of A Crime Scene Investigation?

Largo Police Department is offering residents of Largo a chance to see police officers in the line of duty through their Citizen's Police Academy, which will start Thursday, January 26, from 6 - 9 p.m., and runs for seven weeks. Participants must be at least 18-years-old.

This is a terrific chance to experience what officers see and hear, and what they are trained to do under a variety of circumstances. Some of the topics to be covered will be:

Meet the Chief, Firearms Training, Simulator, General Investigations/ Homicide, K9 Demonstrations, Drug Awareness, Sexual Predators, Homeland Security, Domestic Violence. It provides an excellent opportunity for the citizens to interact with Department members. Join for an experience you'll never forget.
