Depression Glass Club Show And Sale To Be Held This Weekend

CLEARWATER - The Sparkling Clearwater Depression Glass Club will be presenting their 27th Annual Show and Sale on Saturday, January 21st from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, January 22nd., from 10 a.m. - 4 p. m. at the Harborview Center, 300 Cleveland St. (Rt. 60) in downtown Clearwater.

The show and sale will feature 29 national dealers offering depression glass, elegant glass, china, pottery, dinnerware and kitchenware from the Depression Era through the 1940s, 50's and 60's. Highlights include the most up-to-date antique and collectible reference books available for sale in the book booth, glass repair, hourly door prizes, free glass identification and free parking.

Special guest author and depression glass expert, Gene Florence, will be lecturing at 1 p.m. on Saturday and will be available throughout the show to answer glass questions.

The Sparkling Clearwater Depression Glass Club was started in 1977 and held its first show in 1980. The main purpose of the Club is to promote interest and education in Depression Era glass, china and pottery. With proceeds from the show and sale, donations of reference books are made to Pinellas County libraries.
