Music, Traditional Crafts And Florida Historical Artist Highlight 13th Annual Pinellas Folk Festival

LARGO - Join the fun and celebrate a rich tapestry of music and traditional crafts at the Pinellas Folk Festival on Saturday, Jan. 28, 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at Heritage Village, 11909 125th St. N., Largo. This year's special guest, Guy LaBree, will display his artwork and talk about his experiences and contributions to the preservation of folk culture in Florida throughout the day. Other festival activities include a quilting and embroidery show, "Fleece to Shawl" and folk craft demonstration, storytelling, old time games and antique cars.

Elsewhere around the Village, you'll be tapping your feet to traditional bluegrass, country, folk and gospel tunes played by talented musicians including Jak Kelly, Susan Boyer Haley, Steve Wallace, Simple Gifts, Banjos Unlimited, the Not Whole Quartet, Jim Kaufman, Bobby Hicks, Feathers on the Wind, Frank Thomas and many more. Featured performers' recording will be on sale in the Village Gift Shop.

Admission is free, but donations are welcome and help support future events. Event hours are from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Follow the signs to event parking on 119th St. between Uulmerton and Walsingham Roads and enjoy free shuttle service to the event. For more information, call (727) 582-2123.
