Largo - Children Ric Savid's back and white photographic exhibition is currently on display in Largo Public Library's Main Gallery through March 1. The exhibit features empathetic portraits of children from the United States, Italy, Ireland and the Philippines.
Savid states, "When I take a picture, I feel like "I'm photographing an emotion, one that I can feel inside." Savid strives to capture the expression of universal emotion in his subjects.
Savid earned a Masters in Journalism degree from Columbia University and worked for the St. Petersburg Times as a police reporter. He has also worked as a volunteer with the Peace Corps and has been exhibiting his photography for the past ten years.
