BELLEAIR - Over 200 women filled the main dining room at Belleair Country Club for the Belleair Garden Club's "Swing Into Spring" Fashion Show & Luncheon on April 7. The event was a fundraiser for the club's scholarship and historic preservation funds.
Fashion show and luncheon co-chairs were Judy Hanks, Wendy Knaack and Jan Weaver. Carol DeNeve was models chair. Presenting apparel from Stein Mart in the show coordinated by Dawn LaCross, Agenda consultant for Stein Mart, were DeNeve, Susan Baldwin, Jan Weaver, Laurie Pulito, Dorothy Shuman, Maria Kern, Heidi Sandorf, Francine Pettina, Jean Walrich and Debbie Halvorson. Artemis Stephens of La Posh Salon was hair stylist. Makeup was provided by Tiffany Mueller of Radiance Medspa of Belleair Bluffs.
Greeting arrivals to the affair were hostess chair Velia Wortman and her committee composed of Sue Ficken, Dorothy Osborn, Jean Searson, Ruthann Volkert, Rosanna Wright, Barb Hoskinson, Sandy Matthews, Sherrie Morton and Larry King. Wendy Knaack was coordinator of the Chinese and silent auctions. She was assisted by Ruth Ann Voelkert. Over 60 businesses in the area donated items or gift certificates for the occasion. Dorothy Osborn and Debbie Halvorson were in charge of ticket sales and table reservations, with Alice Tucker and Barbara Ann Walker taking on the duties of table decor. Jean Rascher sent out invitations while Dorothy Shuman and Sherrie Morton handled publicity. Jean Searson served as chair of the call committee.
