CLEARWATER - Enjoy the music of local artists and bands under the stars at Moccasin Lake Nature Park's mini amphitheater Saturday, May 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. Fee: 13 years and up $5, 3 years to 12 years $3, 2 years and under $1.
Didg Revolution's blend of didgeridoos, percussion instruments, and various animal sounds is sure to entertain the entire family. The didgeridoo, or didg, a traditional Australian Aboriginal wind instrument is essentially a hollowed-out tree branch. Its exotic and primal sounds and tones are unequalled within the music world. Its enchanting, strange, and deep waowaowaow sound invites memories of the dreamtime, or the beginning of knowledge according to Aboriginal culture.
Didg Revolution, a Tampa Bay based musical trio, is on a mission to enlighten all with the beauty and majesty of this ageless instrument. The trio performs around Florida at various festivals, museums, schools, parks, and nightclubs.
During the intermission, enjoy beverages and toast marshmallows around the campfire, and for those with camping cookout skills, turn your toasted marshmallows into delicious s'mores. All the fixings will be provided. All this, plus one free general admission voucher per person for each paid admission to the concert.
Concert is held indoors during inclement weather.
Moccasin Lake Nature Park is located at 2750 Park Trail Lane in Clearwater.
