A conductor announces stops in Paris, France, where you experience the culinary delight of supping on bouillabaisse. Then it's on to Milan, Italy, to enjoy Italian salad - tomato and mozzarella sprinkled with basil and olive oil, and of course, ravioli! Vienna, Austria, is the next stop for an entrée of sauerbraten klopse (come and find out what this is), and then on to Istanbul, Turkey, for shish kebabs and kizarmis patlican (another mystery food). Finally a stop at the Dessert Station - desserts representative of each of the countries visited - oh, so tempting!
Costumes are encouraged! (But not necessary!) Perhaps you will leave with one of the fabulous, exotic auction items - a 'Betty Lang' 7-course dinner for eight, each course representing a country through which the 'Express' travels, with each course accompanied by wine from the particular area, sunset dinner cruise for eight on the Gulf of Mexico in a beautiful sailing ship; a bronze art sculpture of a child; exquisite jewelry; wines from the countries visited, and more - all for the ticket price of $85 per person.
