The incredible increase in residences under construction in downtown Clearwater has resulted in new business development activities in this area. One such business is an independently owned Cingular store managed by Stephen Dreher. This full-service Cingular location is located at 535 S. Fort Harrison, and is already serving customers from Belleair, Largo, Clearwater and the beaches.
Dreher has been working for seven years in the cell phone industry, and is enjoying managing a store in Clearwater after working in Tampa. "We have great flexibility in offering unadvertised specials because we are independently owned," explained Dreher. He hopes that anyone shopping for a new cellular phone or cellular service will compare the options offered at his facility.
Dreher's location offers the big names in cellular phone service, including phones from Samsung, LG, Nokia, Motorola and Ericsson. They offer twelve different "hands-free" options, as well as a "Family Talk" plan which offers unlimited calling to your family and all other Cingular customers. Push to Talk is a new service available to Cingular customers, which allows you to know who on your service is available before you call. Pay-As-You-Go is a popular plan with the many visitors we have in Clearwater. The customer can pay for minutes in advance and avoid monthly billing. Their phone number stays the same, but they can purchase cellular minutes for the time they reside in Clearwater.
When asked about new additional technology offered by the Cingular network, Dreher is quick to mention a new RAZR which will come out any day. This phone offers a megapixel camera which has six times the resolution of other cell phone cameras. "The Blackberry is also one of our most popular options," admits Dreher, because "it allows customers to integrate professional and personal business on one computer."
