Mark your calendars for the 5th Annual Operation: Donation countywide food drive to benefit local shelters and food pantries, which typically run short on supplies during the summer months.
Local city governments are participating by designating certain municipal facilities as drop-off locations during the week starting June 12. Pickup is noon Friday, June 16.
All donations received will be distributed locally. Items requested include canned and other non-perishable food items.
Donations may be dropped off at all City of Clearwater Recreation Centers, Moccasin Lake Nature Park, and the Henry L. McMullen Tennis Complex.
Operation: Donation is coordinated by Volunteer Action Center, a program of 2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, Inc.
