Want to explore your family tree and don't know where to begin?
Then, mark your calendars for August 9, 10 and 11 when St. Pete Beach Library will host its first genealogy workshop. Bob Bryan of the Pinellas County Genealogical Society will present two programs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. The first session will incorporate: past family records, keeping your own records, organization, and how to locate print information outside the home. Thursday's session will focus on Internet and computer database resources. The workshop will conclude on Friday, August 11, with a field trip to the Largo Library's award winning Genealogy Department. There, workshop attendees can utilize the skills they learned over the past two days. The workshop is limited to 20 and the cost is $15 for three days.
