CLEARWATER - Clearwater Fire Chief Jamie Geer announces the hiring of Elizabeth Daly, a seven-year veteran of broadcast television news, as the new Public Information Specialist in Clearwater Fire & Rescue. Daly's duties include media communications and public relations for the department.
Formerly the 6 p.m. news producer for WTSP-TV, Tampa Bay's 10, Daly has also produced broadcast news for WTLV and WJXX First Coast News, Jacksonville's NBC and ABC affiliates, and WTXL-TV News Channel 27, the ABC affiliate in Tallahassee.
She has experience covering emergency management topics, and produced the Amber Alert Training Video for the State of Florida, for which she received a Florida Department of Law Enforcement certificate of appreciation and the Governor's Award. Daly holds a bachelor's degree in Mass Media Arts from Hampton University in Hampton, Va.
