CLEARWATER - In recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month five local chapters of the General Federation of Woman's Clubs (GFWC) including the North Pinellas Woman's Club, Harborsprings Woman's Club of North Pinellas, Clearwater Community Woman's Club, Palm Harbor Junior Woman's Club, and Woman's Club of Tarpon Springs will be gathering clothing donations during the annual Trade In, Trade Up Event for the Haven Domestic Violence Center.
Stein Mart stores in Pinellas County (Clearwater, Palm Harbor and Northwood Plaza) will participate on Friday, October 20, and Saturday, October 21, during regular store hours (10 a.m.-9 p.m.) Volunteers from all organizations will be available to accept clean, gently used or new clothing (men's, women's or children's) on hangers. In exchange for each donation received, a volunteer will provide a tax receipt and coupon for 20 percent off any one item at Stein Mart, with a limit of 4 coupons per customer.
The Haven provides community education, outreach support, crisis intervention and safe environments for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Stein Mart offers merchandise, service and presentation of a traditional better department/specialty store at prices competitive with off-price retail chains. Through the Agenda program Stein Mart stores are regularly involded in charity events both locally and nationally. For additional information, call 1-888-Stein Mart.
