Gulf Coast Community Care is in dire need of volunteers to spend 2-4 hours a week with a child, to be their "special friend" or "adopted grandma/grandpa," to serve as their Mentor/Role model. These children need some one-on-one attention; someone to talk to; or just listen and share some quality time with - reading, playing a game, cards, baking cookies, fishing, sports, swimming, or a walk on the beach. You truly can "make a difference" in a child's life emotionally, socially and academically. As a volunteer you will reap many rewards as a mentor by giving a precious gift to a child - your time.
