
DUNEDIN - The Florida Park Service and the Friends of the Island Parks invite the community to "Halloween in the Park - Rest in Pieces IX" on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night. There is a scary trail making this a great family event for all ages.
This safe alternative to trick or treating will include new features such as a haunted maze, an "Enchanted Forest" and a larger than ever children's area featuring "Water World" with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. The Dunedin Library will have a storytelling workshop culminating in a contest for children with the winning stories read at the event on Friday night. Palm Harbor Library will provide the storytelling on Saturday night. Activities include games, a costume parade, face painting and fortune telling.
The event will be held in the picnic area and participants should wear their best costumes for the parade (not required), comfortable shoes and should bring insect repellant and a small flashlight. Café Honeymoon will be selling refreshments. A donation of $10 per carload will include 10 free game tickets.
