Streetscape work in the Osceola Avenue to Ft. Harrison Avenue block continues. Pedestrians will notice that forms have been installed along the sidewalk on the south side of the street. Concrete is expected to be poured for the new curbs this week. Storm drain work that has closed the intersection of Ft. Harrison Avenue and Cleveland Street is almost complete, and the intersection should reopen in the next few days. Cleveland Street businesses remain open on both sides of the street. Pedestrian access at Ft. Harrison Avenue where the current storm drain work is underway should be restored when the intersection is reopened to vehicular traffic. Work on the storm drain is continuing east, with crews focusing next on the block between Ft. Harrison and Garden avenues. The Osceola Avenue to Ft. Harrison Avenue block of the streetscape project is currently on schedule and expected to be complete by the end of February.
Due to the winter holidays, there will be no Hard Hat meeting in December. The next Hard Hat meeting is scheduled Thursday, January 25, 8 a.m., at Pickles Plus Too on the west side of the Harborview Center.
