Belleview Biltmore dining room manager Mary Lou Planas and chef Ziggy Gorecki are pictured with the 19-foot-tall gingerbread house created by pastry chef Nomeda Baronas. It is one of the largest gingerbread houses in the world, according to hotel staff. The recipe called for 5,000 lbs. of gingerbread, 800 lbs. of icing, 250 lbs. of flour, 200 lbs. of sugar and 60 dozen eggs. Decorations include 30,000 Hershey kisses, 25,000 jelly beans, 25,000 M&Ms, 20,000 Red Hots, 10 lbs. of pretzels, 300 malted milk balls and 50 candy canes. The Belleview Biltmore Resort & Spa is located at 25 Belleview Blvd.
