Prepare for a RED and PURPLE invasion for the 4th Annual Regional Red Hat Gala hosted by the West Coast Queen's Council of the West Coast of Florida. Last year there were over 500 women who attended the event. It was quite a spectacular site to view a sea of Red Hats swirling around in an excited buzz. The most amazing thing about this event, is that no two women had the exact same hat. This year, it is anticipated that there will be over 700 women attending the event from the West Coast of Florida which comprises the area from Naples to Williston, including, Tampa, Lakeland, Ocala, and Gainesville. This event sells out early, so please make your reservations as soon as possible.
At this year's event the Guest of Honor will be: Ms. Lynn Rasys, Executive Director of the Florida Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. A $1,000 donation will be presented to Ms. Rasys on behalf of the Red Hat Society of the West Coast of Florida.
All women over the age of 21 can become members of the Red Hat Society. Women under the age of 50 are "Pink Hatters" and those 50 and older are the "Red Hatters" For more information about a Red Hat Society in your area, please go to the above Web site.
