Clearwater's Parks and Recreation Department and LIADO, the Italian-American Woman of Today, hosted the 4th Annual San Gennaro Festa, on February 10 and 11 in Coachman Park. The festa is the major fundraiser for LIADO's scholarship program and honors San Gennaro, the patron saint of Naples, Italy who was decapitated for his faith near Pozzuoli in 305.

Italy's rich culture was shared with entertainment, traditional works from Italian artisans, food and lively fun. Grape stomping, bocci ball tournaments, and cannoli and meatball eating contests were a few of the activities attendees jumped into.

Performances included headliner Sonny Geraci and the Outsiders, along with John and Mary K. Wilson, Tarantella Dancers, Dino Diliberti, opera performers and others.

Proceeds from the event will go to LIADO supported charities including cancer research, All Children's Hospital, and scholarships for schools in Pinellas County.
