Watercolor artist, Steve Rogers, NWA(National Watercolor Society) and AWS (AmericanWatercolor Society) will be in workshop at the Beach Art Center, Indian Rocks Beach, March 22-24.
Mr. Rogers is the National Watercolor Society Purchase Award Winner "Best of Show" at this year's 86th NWS Annual Juried Exhibition. His paintings have won hundreds of awards in juried competitions including four awards in the American Watercolor Society Annual International Exhibitions. He is the National Invited Juror for the AWS Annual Exhibition and serves on the jury of selection for 2007.
The workshop will encourage students at all levels to advance their own vision and to improve the skills necessary to communicate that he paints and teaches in a straightforward traditional manner. Workshop participants take away knowledge about light and color and how watercolor behaves in dealing with dark values. Lots of student painting time along with personal help is available each day.
