Wine Tasting Held to Benefit American Cancer Society's Relay For Life

Tom Shelly, Sponsorship chair for this year's Relay For Life Greater Belleair 2007, at recent wine tasting held at WineStyles, Belleair Bluffs, to benefit and bring awareness of the upcoming Relay For Life to be held in April 20-21, Belleair Town Hall.

The recent Wine Tasting held at WineStyles, Belleair Bluffs, to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life Greater Belleair 2007 was a big success.

Alfano's Restaurant provided various food trays of appetizers to compliment the many wines offered for tasting. Many in attendance participated in a silent auction for various baskets, sporting event tickets, travel packages, and gift certificates donated by local establishments.

All proceeds from the two-hour event went towards the April Relay For Life Greater Belleair community event.

Relay For Life is a community gathering where people can participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people will take turns walking a track and camping out overnight at the Belleair Town East Soccer Field for the 18-hour overnight event. Relay brings people together from all walks of life with the common goal of eliminating cancer. Survivors and those fighting cancer are invited to attend as honorary guests in the Survivors Lap, which begins Relay For Life. A ceremony of luminaria lights during the evening remembers those lost to cancer, those fighting cancer, and those who have fought cancer and won.

Teams, donations, and sponsors for this community gathering where everyone can participate in the fight against cancer are needed. To learn more or become a part of this memorable event, contact Denine Barham at 451-4444.
