North Suncoast Associates Orchestrate Upcoming Bravura Brunch

CLEARWATER - Ten members of The Florida Orchestra/North Suncoast Associates were busy on a recent Thursday morning preparing a mailout for their upcoming annual Bravura Brunch. Taking on the task of folding 8 1/2 x 11 invitations and addressing envelopes, as well as stuffing and then sealing them, were Johanna Guzik, Lynn Lawton, Marge Tadel, Ceil Turkington, Herb Turkington, Martha Robertson, Margaret Holgate, Sally Marticorena, Elsa Gaul and Conrad Weiler. This is the 13th year the North Suncoast Associates, the fundraising arm of the Florida Orchestra, has hosted the affair which will be held in the Margarete Heye Great Room at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen Booth Road, on Saturday, March 31.

A champagne reception is scheduled at 11 a.m. prior to the noon luncheon. Also on the agenda are a live auction and remarks by Florida Orchestra music director Stefan Sanderling and concertmaster Jeffrey Multer. Sanderling and Multer will discuss their roles and the interaction between their positions, according to Marge Tadel, a member of the Bravura Brunch committee. A brief musical program featuring several Florida Orchestra musicians will follow.

Cost to attend is $60 per person/principal player, $200 per person/conductor, $500 per person/sponsor and $1000 per person/Brio sponsor (includes two brunch tickets). Proceeds from the event will benefit The Florida Orchestra. For reservations and/or more information, you may call (727) 588-9403. Deadline for reservations and seating requests is March 21.

Johanna Guzik is chairperson of this year's Bravura Brunch. Serving on her committee are Maria Cantonis, Jeannie Demas, Dee Dubendorff, Marilee Friedman, Lynn Lawton, Sally Trotter Marticorena, Martha Robertson, Martine Stapp, Margaret Tadel and Ceil Turkington.
