Latest project of the Suncoast WAVES is preparing welcome packets and "ditty bags" for servicewomen attending seminars at Bay Pines VA Medical Center. Last fall the group partnered with the Indian Shores Woman's Club to fill boxes with supplies for troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Over 700 boxes were sent in December, according to George.
Jeanne Coulter of Clearwater, at right above, was voted an honorary member of Suncoast WAVES Unit #15 at the group's January meeting. Pictured with her is Marion Voltz of Dunedin. Bruce Loudin was also recognized as an honorary member at that time. Coulter and Loudin were honored for their dedicated service to the organization.
