CLEARWATER - Bruce Clayton, author, will speak at a brunch hosted by the American Association of University Women, Mid-Pinellas Branch, in celebration of 125 years.
Bruce is the author of several books, including Praying for Base Hits, W.J. Cash, Forgotten Prophet, and Dabating Southern History. He is a retired Professor of History from Allegheny College in Meadsville, Pennsylvania where he taught for over 30 years. He now resides in Sarasota, Florida with his wife, Carrah, and enjoys traveling.
The brunch will be held on Sunday, March 18, at 1 p.m., at the Clearwater Country Club, 535 Betty Lane North in Clearwater. Tickets are $30 and include a full brunch with champagne and door prizes. Proceeds will raise funds for women and girls and benefit scholarships to St. Petersburg College "Women on the Way" and summer science scholarships for girls.
