TAMPA - The Tampa Post Office will host a Passport Fair, Saturday, March 24, from 8 a.m. to noon, at Egypt Shrine Temple, 4050 Dana Shores Drive in Tampa, for any citizen applying for a new passport or renewing a passport, processing of passport applications and taking of passport photos.
Beginning January 23, 2007, all persons - including U.S. citizens - traveling by air from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda are required to have a passport or other accepted document that establishes the bearer's identity and nationality to enter the United States.
The Tampa Post Office is hosting the passport fair to facilitate the processing of applications. With the change in regulations regarding passports, more citizens are applying for passports for the first time which is increasing processing times at Passport Agencies.
