CLEARWATER - City officials will celebrate the Cleveland Street Streetscape's first block completion with a ribbon cutting and ceremonial stroll Friday, March 16, 11 a.m., at the intersection of Osceola Avenue and Cleveland Street.
Following the ribbon cutting, Mayor Frank Hibbard will stroll the newly completed block with the children of Peace Memorial Child Development Center. Representatives from the City of Clearwater, Clearwater Downtown Development Board, Clearwater Main Street Program, Bellomo Herbert & Company, and Gibbs & Register, Inc. will be on hand to lead the festivities. Entertainment will be provided.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony, and encouraged to explore the new streetscape and support downtown businesses that are open during construction. Specially labeled bottled water and chocolate bars with coupons for downtown restaurants will be distributed to attendees. Starbucks will offer free coffee.
