CLEARWATER - The Clearwater Garden Club will present a standard flower show at garden club headquarters, 405 Seminole St. (corner of Seminole and North Ft. Harrison) on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31. Title of this year's show is "Song and Dance". Hours on Friday are 1 to 7 p.m. An awards reception will be held at 5 p.m. that day. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is welcome to attend both the show and reception. Admission is free.
Marion Crane is chairman of this year's event, which is staged for the education of the public at no cost to them. As a member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, the Clearwater Garden Club aims to stimulate interest in horticulture and floral design, to prove an outlet for creative expression and to convey to the public the objectives of the National Council, some of which are conservation of natural resources, civic beautification and improvement of roadsides and parks.
The Clearwater Garden Club was founded in 1950.
