CLEARWATER - Celebrate Clearwater Neighborhoods Week, the city's annual festival of neighborhood pride, diversity and success, will take place April 9 through April 14. Join the City of Clearwater and celebrate the uniqueness, the accomplishments and diversity of our many neighborhoods with a week of activities and events the whole family will enjoy. All events are free and open to Clearwater residents. The celebration concludes with the Seventh Annual Celebrate Clearwater Neighborhoods Day on Saturday, April 14, featuring block parties in an anticipated 25 neighborhoods. Monday, April 9, Crime Prevention - Being Safe in Your Neighborhood: Presentation and discussion to educate residents, and business owners about crime prevention and safety in their neighborhoods.
Location: Long Center, 7 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, April 11, City of Clearwater Informational Fair at Westfield Mall, Countryside: This is an opportunity to learn about the City of Clearwater, events and the benefits of living in Clearwater, while shopping at one of the city's beautiful retail attractions.
Location: Westfield Mall, Countryside 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Friday, April 13, Movie under the Stars at Crest Lake Park: A free family-oriented film at Clearwater's Crest Lake Park. Enjoy a picnic atmosphere, while watching a movie under the stars. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own chairs, or blankets for seating.
Location: Crest Lake Park at sunset (approximately 7 p.m.)
Saturday, April 14, Celebrate Clearwater Neighborhoods Day: City of Clearwater council members, management officials and city staff attend block parties throughout various neighborhoods within the city limits of Clearwater.
Location: Various neighborhoods, 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
