Ready to take the field at the Whitesell Softball Complex on a recent Thursday morning are some of the players taking part in the City of Largo's 50-Plus Softball program. The men, who range in age from 50 to 80, hold fielding and batting practice on Tuesdays. Games are scheduled on Thursdays. A few played college ball. Ron Soucek, shown standing third from right, once played for the Minnesota Twins' Triple-A Orlando Flyers. Seven of the players are from Canada. Frank Arthur, standing second from right, serves as general manager of the 50-Plus recreational program. The Whitesell Complex is located at 12555 119th St. North.
