Sixteen- year-old M/Sgt. Shaleina M. Rivera, who is a sophomore in the JROTC program at Clearwater High School, has earned a medal, a $100 check, and a Certificate of Merit from the National Organization of The Military Officers Association of America.
Shaleina has a grade Point Average of 3.3 and is the daughter of Mrs. Carmen Rivera and plans to enter the Marine Corps when she graduates from high school.
