The Governor's Points of Light Award recognizes a Florida resident each week who volunteers within their community. The award was conceived in 2000 and is currently sponsored by Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises.
A panel of volunteers judge nominees of the award and make recommendations to Governor Crist.
