CLEARWATER - Suncoast Sierra Club will meet May 17, at 7 p.m., at Moccasin Lake Park off of Drew and Hwy 19 in Clearwater. Gary Mormino, award winning author from the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg, will speak on his book, Land of Sunshine, State of Dreams: A Social History of Modern Florida. Mormino is a dynamic speaker and will tell a story of compelling characters, bewitching places and the enduring but changing idea of the dream state. This meeting is free and open to the public.
