Young Actors Present "Lullaby of Broadway"Photo by Sandi Fahy
Some of the youngsters attending the Musical Theatre Summer Camp at the Francis Wilson Playhouse pose for a photo last week while rehearsing for their performance in "The Lullaby of Broadway", a scripted review featuring the shows "Annie", You're a Good Man, Charley Brown", "Les Miserables" and more. The aspiring young actors had been studying their craft for the past two weeks. The students, ages 7 to 18, had come from all over the county to learn all they could about acting, dance, voice, audition skills, stage craft, costuming and set design from Cheryl-Ann Rossi, president of Rossi Entertainment and Footprints School of Performing Arts. Classes were scheduled Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Goal of the students was to earn a part in the live production scheduled on June 22 at the end of camp. Rossi, a native of Largo, has performed in Broadway musicals and worked with Bob Fosse, Gus Giordano and Michael Bennet.
