Beach Walk Construction Updateprovided by the City of ClearwaterAs Beach Walk construction continues, South Gulfview Boulevard remains closed to all but local traffic. The new Pier 60 parking lot is open and easily accessible from Coronado Drive. Nelson Construction is installing temporary sidewalk on the south side of the new north Gulfview access. For safety reasons, pedestrians can only access South Clearwater Beach from Pier 60, or from south of the Barefoot Beach House. Those wishing to access businesses on South Gulfview Boulevard can go north from Fifth Street. Stores and restaurants are open and welcoming customers. Some occasional road closures may be necessary; remember to slow down when driving in the construction zones. The next Hard Hat Meeting will be 9 a.m., August 21 at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center, 69 Bay Esplanade.
