Roseto Named Interim Assistant City ManagerBy Carl Wagenfohr
CLEARWATER - City Manager Bill Horne has named Joe Roseto Interim Assistant City Manager. Roseto has been Clearwater's Director of Human Resources. Roseto replaces Garry Brumback, who resigned earlier this month to accept the position of City Manager of Baytown, Texas. "Because I don't expect the selection of Garry's permanent replacement to be a lengthy process, I have asked Joe Roseto to fill in and help me keep the extensive internal staff coordination process going without losing any momentum," Horne wrote in an e-mail to the Clearwater City Council. While serving as Interim Assistant City Manager, Roseto will "stay involved in some of the high priority activities he is managing currently," according to Horne's e-mail. Those activities include contract negotiations with the city's firefighters union, and negotiating an employee health care benefit package for fiscal 2007/08. Allen Del Prete, currently a Manager of Human Resources, will serve as Interim Human Resources Director during Roseto's reassignment. |
