World Tournament Horseshoe Pitching Championship Results Announced CLEARWATER - Ron Deckard, president of the Clearwater Horseshoe Club, won the 2007 Senior Men's World Horseshoe Pitching Championship held in Ardmore, OK., July 23 through August 4. Other members of Clearwater Horseshoe Club that placed are: Warren Woolsey, third place in Elder Men's Championship Robert Zumbahlen, fifth place in Elder Men's Championship Robert Moulin, sixth place in Elder Men's Championship Verdell Woollard, third place in Senior Women's Championship Patricia Callis, fifth place in Women's Class F Nearly 1,000 players from the United States and Canada competed for $136,000 in prize money and trophies. Clearwater Horseshoe Club is at Ed Wright Park, 1326 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. When leagues or tournaments are not being conducted, the courts are available for open practice.
