Members and guests enjoying a ride on the 47' Coast Guard boat.

U.S. Coast Guard personnel at Station Sand Key held their annual picnic for members of Division 11 of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Nearly 150 people braved the heat to enjoy the food and fellowship, and compete against members of the Coast Guard in various rescue maneuvers. Highlights of the day included boat rides aboard one of the 47' Coast Guard boats and the children got to ride around on a banana boat being towed by a Coast Guard Auxiliary vessel from the Clearwater flotilla.
