Francis Wilson Playhouse First Nighters Present the Premier Performance of Bells Are RingingThe First Nighter Gala Premier at Francis Wilson Playhouse for the October 2007 production of the Musical, Bells are Ringing, is scheduled for October 31st at 7 p.m. - donations are $27 per person. The First Nighters are a dedicated group of women who believe that a live theatre experience should be a very special occasion. Twice during each theatre season they hold Gala Champagne Premiers to benefit the Francis Wilson Playhouse. Each premier includes finger-foods, desserts, champagne, and the pleasure of a live musical theatre production. It's an opportunity to dress a little fancier, visit with other theatre aficionados, see what amazing performances our local talent can produce, relax and enjoy the show. Francis Wilson Playhouse has been presenting quality community theatre for 76 years, each season challenging those earlier seasons for "best ever." Each year three musicals are presented as well as one mystery, one drama and three comedies. Last season Francis Wilson Playhouse received nine Lary Awards, our local community theatre equivalent of the Broadway Tony Awards. The First Nighters have contributed to this quality theatre by donating the proceeds of each Gala Premier for the improvement of the equipment and technical requirement for top notch productions, as well as the Playhouse building fund.
