Boy Scouts of America Good Turn for America - Scouting for Food

PINELLAS COUNTY - More than 6,000 Cub Scouts, Boy Scout, crews and adult leaders throughout Pinellas County and West Pasco County will be participating in the Boy Scout of America's "Good Turn for America" project "Scouting for Food" in their communities on Saturday, November 3 and November 10. The Scouts will hang Scouting for Food empty bags on residents' door on November 3 and return one week later to collect donated non-perishable food items on November 10. Bagged food should be placed out by 9 a.m.

The food will be distributed through local food pantries to families and individuals who need it. Individuals who wish to donate food should lace the items in the bag and hang it outside their door before 9 a.m. on November 10. If a Scout forgets to pick up a bag in your community, the donor can drop it off at the nearest Regions Bank branch.
