Crafts Are "Homespun By Hands and Hearts"Photo by SANDI FAHY
The unique autumn crafts, including scarecrows, pilgrims and pumpkins, created by Arlene Lathrop of Clearwater, at left, catch the attention of Grace Childers of Clearwater, right, at the 12th Annual Homespun by Hands and Hearts arts and crafts event at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Largo on October 20. Lathrop said she has enjoyed making her "happy holiday crafts" for over 30 years. Nearly 70 crafters from Clearwater, Dunedin, Largo, Seminole, Port Richey, New Port Richey, Hudson, Pinellas Park, St. Petersburg, Gulfport, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, Tampa, Trinity and Winter Haven displayed their work at the event. Decorative painting on wood, glass and metal, woodcrafts, hand sewn and crocheted items, silk flower arrangements, jewelry, handbags, shell crafts, wall decor, custom tiles, handpainted ornaments, baby quilts and blankets, button dolls, framed and unframed nature photography, wall hangings and more were among the thousands of items available for purchase.
