ASPCA® No More Homeless Pets in Hillsborough County to Host Fall Pet Adoption Expo

TAMPA - The ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and NMHP-HC (No More Homeless Pets in Hillsborough County) are hosting a Fall Pet Adoption Expo on Saturday, November 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Florida State Fairgrounds Special Event Building, 4800 Highway 301 North in Tampa.

More than 20 animal rescue groups, including Hillsborough County Animal Services, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and countless volunteers will attend with hundreds of cats and dogs available for adoption inside the fairgrounds. The event will also feature pet merchandise, door prizes and demonstrations on topics such as disaster preparedness, pet behavior and veterinary health. In May, more than 170 cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies were adopted at the first-ever "Spring Pet Adoption Expo."

Free parking is available at the Fairgrounds entrance on Orient Road. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. For more information about the Adoption Expo, please contact Darlene Larson at (320) 354-0345 or via email at DarleneL@aspca.org.
