
Colonial Dames XVII Century Installs New OfficersBerkeley Plantation Chapter, Colonial Dames XVII Century installed the following new officers at its last meeting: Mary Alice Gibbs, historian; Elizabeth Kujawski, librarian; Phoebe McCue, treasurer; Mary Kitchen, vice president; Julia Noah, president; Marilyn Woolman, chaplain; Georgianna Rios, recording secretary and corresponding secretary; and Bette Raup, registrar. Honorary State President Barbara Card of St. Pete Beach conducted the installation and presented the program on the goals and activities of the state and national societies of Colonial Dames XVII Century. The next meeting will be held on November 9 at Stacey's Buffet in Largo commencing at noon. The speaker will be Dunedin author, G.Wayne Dailey, who will discuss his book, Two Great Presidents, One Great Family, about the Roosevelts. Women who are interested in historical colonial research and are lineal descendants of an ancestor who lived and served prior to 1701 in one of the original thirteen colonies are invited to attend.
