Volunteer Mearline Rutt demonstrated pine needle weaving at the House of Seven Gables. In addition to impressing everyone with her award winning baskets, Ms. Rutt, a national champion pine needle weaver, turned heads also because of the vintage dress she wore for the occasion. She said she purchased it from the French Quarter in New Orleans, where she is originally from.

LARGO- In spite of Saturday's rain, hundreds of people shuttled their way into Heritage Village, 11909 125th St. North, for the Pinellas County Historical Society's 30th annual jubilee and Heritage Village's 30th birthday celebration.

The family fun included live music, trade and craft demonstrations, a flea market, food, and over 100 vendors selling crafts, antiques and art.
