Receiving awards were Mary Urquhart, "Volunteer of the Year"; Liz Piquet, "Leader of the Year"; Rosa Freed, "Rookie of the Year"; and Julie Burton, who was named 4-H Ambassador. Also recognized for their service were Carlos Colon, Mickey Soja, Barbara Orr, Maggie Halbert and Lisa McBride. Kudos to all! ... Members of the Upper Pinellas, St. Petersburg and Tampa alumnae chapters of Alpha Chi Omega gathered at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center on October 13 for their annual Founder's Day celebration ... Mim Anne Houk was guest speaker at the recent Clearwater Alumnae Panhellenic "Literary Muse" Luncheon at Alfano's. Representatives of 19 local sorority alumnae groups attended the affair ...
