Non-Trivial Pursuits at Chapel-By-The-SeaThe public is invited to Chapel-By-The-Sea, 54 Bay Esplanade, Clearwater Beach, for its Monday night "Non-Trivial Pursuits" program. The program entitled Weeki Wachee, City of Mermaids: A History of One of Florida's Oldest Roadside Attractions will be presented by Ms. Lu Vickers, an award-winning author and former Kingsbury Fellow from Florida State University, January 7th at 7:30 p.m. Vickers offers a nostalgic trip through this enchanted Spring for a unique snapshot of Florida's tourism heritage, showing how a local novelty became a stellar international attraction. Refreshments will be served following the program. There is never a fee for the "Non-Trivial Pursuits" program.
