Beach Walk Construction Updateprovided by the City of ClearwaterAs Beach Walk construction continues, old and new Gulfview Boulevard remains closed to all traffic between the south project limits and Pier 60. New Gulfview Boulevard remains open from Coronado Drive to the Pier 60 parking lot. Construction on two frontage roads is underway. Curbing is in and asphalt paving is scheduled in the near future. Trail work at the Pier 60 entrance is complete. Drainage work at the Hess Station has started near Bayway and Gulfview. One lane is open for traffic in each direction and a flagman is helping direct travelers. Drivers are reminded to use caution and obey the speed limit. Pedestrians are asked to use crosswalks at all times. The next Beach Walk Hard Hat Meeting will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center, 69 Bay Esplanade.
