Dunedin Senior Awareness Fair Slated

DUNEDIN - Are you an older adult with questions about Medicare, insurance policies, health care, financial problems… or are you just bored sitting at home?

Each year, the Hale Activity Center's "Senior Awareness Fair" helps to connect hundreds of local adults with resources found right in their own community - ranging from law offices and meal programs to doctors and leisure activities. "It's a great way to connect with organizations that can help guide them in the right direction," says Mathew Eberius, Recreation Leader for the City, "and we get a little bit of everything, all types of businesses and organizations are represented, as well as some national and local representatives from government, too."

The 2008 Senior Awareness Fair will be held on Friday, January 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hale Activity Center, located at 330 Douglas Avenue, in Dunedin. The event is entirely free, and all participants will even receive a free hot dog lunch, in addition to the many prizes and give-aways held during the program.

The Hale Activity Center is located across the street from Knology Park, at 330 Douglas Avenue. For more information on attending or becoming a vendor, please contact the Center at (727) 298-3299.
