Pinellas Extension Hosts Green Expo

Jane Muhrlin, center manager for the Pinellas County Conection Center, at right, talks with Penny Oakes at the Green Expo of Products for the House and Garden, which took place at the Pinellas County Extension on January 19. The expo featured products and services that can help "green" the home and garden. Oakes learned that Pinellas was one of the first "green counties" in the state. Muhrlin, who explained the various environmental programs under way in the county, was also there to encourage people to become more involved in county government. The Connection Center manager makes presentations to homeowner associations and civic organizations on the opportunities and programs available to them.
