What's at Stake for the U.S. and Iran in the Middle East?

On Saturday, February 16th, Dr. Mohsen M. Milani, Professor of Politics and Chair of the Department of Government and International Affairs at the University of South Florida in Tampa, will address a general meeting of the League of Women Voters on the topic, "Policy Options for the U.S. and Iran in the Middle East."

The meeting, which is open to the public, is being hosted by the International Relations Committees of the League of Women Voters of North Pinellas County and the St. Petersburg Area. The meeting will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 16th at the Pinellas Park Library, 7770 52nd Street, North in Pinellas Park.

Professor Milani has written extensively about the Persian Gulf, the Iranian Revolution and Iran's foreign and security policies. He has served as a research fellow at Harvard University, at Oxford University's St. Anthony's College in England and at the Foscari University in Venice, Italy. Dr. Milani is a frequent speaker at International and national conferences on Iran and the Persian Gulf. He is currently working on a book project about Iran's regional policies.

Dr. Milani brings a special expertise and insight to this very timely discussion of the complex and important challenges the U.S. and Iran are facing in the Middle East and the vital interests these two countries have at stake in the region.
